Leigh Tudor

Chief Operating Officer (COO)

My career in social care started supporting Older People, giving me the drive to go on to Registered Nursing.  When qualified I worked in acute medical admissions, it was fast paced and a great place to work where I learnt a whole new meaning to the word ‘busy’!

After a time I moved into the temporary staffing market, placing nurses in a wide variety of roles from prison placements to cruise ships!  Life soon moved on and as the domiciliary care market started to consolidate, I spent 10 years managing a number of high volume complex care contracts with a host of councils.  This involved extensive contract management supporting organic growth alongside implementing mergers and acquisitions.  It was also my first venture into Supported Living as the market was starting to take shape and many NHS services were externalised into the private sector.

My strong values then took me into the charity sector where I stayed for another 10 years, supporting a broad portfolio of services, driving the commissioning, development and implementation of a range of new services and service types, from specialist dementia services through to large supported living developments – it was a great time and brought me thoroughly into the learning disability, autism and complex needs sector which I have never left.

I came to the Hesley Group in June 2022, the organisation offered a unique approach to supporting people with autism and complex.  I like to be where I feel I can make the most difference to the lives of people and since coming here I have not looked back.  The services, those we support, and colleagues energise me every day, allowing us to continue to support and develop the great work we do to ensure everyone lives their best life every day!
